Snow Play

Winter Fun

Winter is a great time to escape to the Sierra and enjoy playing in the snow! Having difficulty finding a safe, less-crowded spot to be able to enjoy the snow with your family? We can point you in the right direction for spots to sled, to go ice skating, skiing or snowboarding, an established tubing area, backcountry access, or just sitting by a stream enjoying the beauty of winter. Use us as a base camp or use the links below to get connected to other area businesses and resources.

Basecamp

Come for the day to enjoy the snow right here at Chinquapin! Park at camp, use the restrooms, and head out to play. Rent equipment, pick up a map, or book a guided expedition with trained staff. Our Basecamp is available for one-household use at a time to purchase a hot or cold drink, plan your route, or purchase some Camp Chinquapin swag.
